Mapa
Erlanger Map Poster & Print
Erlanger is a city in Northern Kentucky, part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area across the Ohio River. Transport defines its map. Interstate 71/75 runs through the city, a railway line follows an older route across town, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport lies just to the west, its runways a vast geometric presence at the edge of the frame.
The city takes its name from Baron Frédéric Émile d'Erlanger, a European financier connected with the railway that shaped its early growth. Around the older core, residential streets spread out in later suburban patterns. Gently curving roads and cul-de-sacs follow the hilly Kentucky terrain rather than a strict grid.
An Erlanger map poster places everyday neighbourhoods beside major infrastructure, and the contrast gives it a strong graphic quality. Commercial strips along Dixie Highway, the long sweep of the interstate and the rail line all cut through residential areas. Small parks and creek valleys open gaps in the street pattern.

Airport next door
The runways of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport lie to the west, and at wider scales their long straight strips add a strongly geometric element.
Railway town origins
The rail line that gave Erlanger its start still crosses the city, a quiet, continuous stroke through the older neighbourhoods.
