Eusébio is part of the metropolitan area of Fortaleza, the capital of Ceará, and lies just south-east of the city. On the map it reads as a town in transition: older streets around a small centre, and around them newer housing developments with their own looping roads and cul-de-sacs. Main roads connect it to Fortaleza and the coast, cutting across the pattern in long lines.
Between the built-up areas there is still a lot of open land, with lagoons, streams and patches of vegetation typical of the coastal lowlands of Ceará. These gaps give the drawing air and make each district stand out as a distinct shape. The Eusébio map poster shows that loose, spread-out arrangement, where town and landscape are still sharing the space.
The municipality has grown quickly as people moved outwards from Fortaleza looking for quieter streets. That growth is visible from above in the contrast between the regular lots of planned neighbourhoods and the more irregular grain of older roads. It is a map of a place still taking shape.
