Mapa
Fort Lauderdale Map Poster & Print
Fort Lauderdale lies on the Atlantic coast of South Florida, and few American cities show water so clearly on a map. East of downtown, a dense network of dredged finger canals divides residential neighbourhoods into long, narrow peninsulas, each lined with houses and boat docks. This network has earned the city its well-known nickname, the Venice of America.
The New River winds through downtown in tight curves before joining the Intracoastal Waterway, which separates the mainland from the barrier island and its beaches. Las Olas Boulevard runs from the city centre to the ocean, crossing the canals along the way, while Port Everglades, one of the busiest cruise ports in the world, occupies the southern edge of the city.
A Fort Lauderdale map poster turns this watery structure into a graphic pattern of comb-like streets, curving river lines and a clean ocean edge. It is one of those places where the map is immediately recognisable to anyone who has lived there, sailed there or spent time on its beach. In monochrome the canals read almost like a fingerprint.

New River
The river loops through the downtown area in tight bends, drawing a soft, winding line through the otherwise rectilinear street grid.
Barrier beach
A narrow strip of land between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic carries the beachfront road, giving the poster a long, straight eastern edge.
