Mapa
Franklin Park Map Poster & Print
Franklin Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, west of Chicago and just south-east of O'Hare International Airport. From above, it is shaped by transport. Railway lines slice through the village, large freight yards sit nearby, and broad industrial parcels fill much of the land between them. Residential streets occupy the remaining pockets in the tidy grid seen across the Chicago suburbs.
The Des Plaines River and its forest preserves pass close by, adding irregular green corridors to an otherwise rectilinear map. On a Franklin Park map poster, the straight residential streets, the sweeping curves of the rail lines and the long outlines of industrial buildings play against each other in a strong graphic pattern that looks more like a technical drawing than a pastoral scene.
The village has long been a manufacturing and logistics centre, helped by its rail connections and its position beside one of the world's busiest airports. For many who live there, trains and aircraft are part of daily life, and the map shows that setting through its lines of track and the edge of the airport.

Industrial blocks
Large factory and warehouse footprints cover wide areas and show as solid shapes that contrast with the finer texture of the residential neighbourhoods.
Airport edge
O'Hare lies just to the north-west. A wider map frame brings in its runways, adding bold straight lines at the top of the composition.
