Mapa
Glauchau Map Poster & Print
Glauchau lies in western Saxony on the Zwickauer Mulde, between Zwickau and Chemnitz. The old town sits on higher ground above the river, and the map shows it as a compact knot of streets around a market square. Below, the Mulde bends through its valley, with roads, a railway line and later districts spread along it.
The town is best known for its two neighbouring palaces, Forderglauchau and Hinterglauchau. The Schönburg family built them side by side on the rise above the river, so Glauchau is often described as a double palace town. It also has a long history in textile manufacturing, and the Sachsenring racing circuit is a short drive away.
A Glauchau map poster shows that pattern clearly: a medieval core on the high ground, the palace complex at its edge, the river curving below, and later streets filling the valley and the plateaus around it. It is a classic Central European town plan, and it looks especially good in black and white.

Zwickauer Mulde
The river winds through the valley below the centre. Its curve gives the composition a strong, flowing line against the denser street network around it.
Market-square core
The old town's short, irregular streets meet around the central market. It is a compact medieval pattern and the darkest part of the print.
