Grand Union Canal
The Paddington Arm of the canal runs through Greenford in a smooth, unbroken curve, a much older line than the suburban streets that were later laid out on either side of it.

Mapa
Greenford Map Poster & Print
From above, Greenford is a patchwork of interwar suburban streets in the London Borough of Ealing. Curving closes and crescents fill the space between long arterial roads, and the terraced and semi-detached housing gives the map a fine, even texture. There is no dense core. The town is made of neighbourhoods that meet along the main roads and around the station.
Water and transport do most of the drawing. The Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal crosses the area in a slow curve, and the River Brent winds through the green spaces on its way south. The A40 Western Avenue cuts a firm straight line along the northern edge. The Central line and a short branch railway add thinner strokes that end at Greenford station.
A Greenford map poster keeps these layers in balance. Canal, river, road and rail each run in their own direction across the suburban grain, while the open spaces around Horsenden Hill and the playing fields show up as calm white fields. In black and white the result is clear and orderly, a record of how outer London grew along its routes.

River Brent
The Brent follows a looser, meandering course through parkland and open ground, and its natural bends contrast with the engineered line of the canal nearby.
Western Avenue
The A40 crosses the map as a wide, straight band with junctions spaced along it, marking the northern side of Greenford and linking it to central London.

Zašto Greenford
Mapa koja nešto znači
Greenford tends to mean something to people who grew up in west London, commuted from the Central line terminus or walked the canal towpath. The map shows the ordinary geometry of home, which is often the reason people want to see it framed.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a street or a year, and the coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download covers six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files.
