Town grid
The central streets follow a largely rectangular plan, a tight cluster of blocks that forms the densest area of the poster and contrasts with the open land around it.

Mapa
Hailun Map Poster & Print
Hailun is a county-level city in Suihua, in central Heilongjiang, set on the rolling plain south-west of the Lesser Khingan foothills. On a map the town is a compact block of streets laid out mostly in straight lines, surrounded on every side by a vast, orderly patchwork of agricultural fields and shelterbelts.
The region's fertile black soil makes it one of the most productive farming areas in northeast China, known in particular for soybeans. The fields around Hailun are divided by long straight roads and tree lines into huge rectangles, and that geometry gives the surrounding map an almost abstract quality, with the town standing as a dense knot at the centre.
Winters here are long and very cold, and the plain can look severe and empty from above, yet the pattern of fields is beautiful in its clarity. A Hailun map poster presents both the compact town and the agricultural order around it, a simple and graphic image of life in China's northeastern farm belt.

Field rectangles
Large farm fields surround the city in a nearly regular pattern of rectangles, divided by straight roads and shelterbelts that stretch out toward the edges of the frame.
Farm roads
Long rural roads leave the town in straight lines toward villages across the plain, forming a quiet radial structure that ties the city to its farmland.

Zašto Hailun
Mapa koja nešto znači
People from Hailun who now live in Harbin, Beijing or abroad often keep a strong bond with the land and its harvests. A map of the town and its fields is an understated way to keep that connection visible at home.
Put the city's name, a family name or a year into the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Among the five styles, Blueprint and Noir emphasise the geometry of the fields, while Classic black and white, Paper and Sand give a softer, lighter look.
