Wimmera River
The river winds through the town with parkland along its banks. It is the one irregular line in an otherwise rectangular map and the obvious focus of the composition.

Mapa
Horsham Map Poster & Print
Horsham is the main regional centre of the Wimmera in western Victoria, a wide, flat farming country of wheat and other broadacre crops. On a map the town is a clear grid of broad streets. The Wimmera River crosses it in a slow, winding course, and its banks are kept as parkland and green space instead of being built up.
The town is a base for exploring the region. The Grampians, known as Gariwerd, rise to the south, and to the west stands Mount Arapiles, one of Australia's best-known rock-climbing areas. Horsham itself stays on level ground, though, and its layout shows the confidence of a country town planned on open land with room to spread.
A Horsham map poster combines order with a single natural line. The rectangular blocks give the drawing structure, and the river cuts through them diagonally with a soft, irregular curve. Around the edges, straight roads run out across the plains toward farms and small towns, which carries the grid far beyond the centre.

Country-town grid
Broad streets laid out at right angles form most of the town, a clean and legible pattern that prints well at every one of the six sizes.
Plains roads
Long straight roads leave Horsham across the flat Wimmera, linking it with farms and neighbouring towns and extending the map's lines toward the edge of the frame.
