Mapa
Huizen Map Poster & Print
Huizen lies on the northern edge of the Gooi region in North Holland, on the shore of the Gooimeer. Before the Zuiderzee was closed off and parts of it reclaimed, this was a fishing village looking out to open sea. Today the water in front of the town is a calm lake, with the new land of Flevoland on the far side.
On the map, the shoreline is lined with the old harbour, marinas and waterfront housing, while the town behind it spreads out in quiet residential neighbourhoods with curving streets and green spaces. The old village centre is still recognisable near the harbour. To the south and east, the woods and heaths of the Gooi begin, framing the town on the land side.
A Huizen map poster captures the town's position between lake and heath: the water to the north, the dense harbour area and the green residential rings around it. It suits people who grew up here, sailors who know the marinas, and anyone who has cycled along the dike. In black and white, the shoreline makes a clean, strong edge.

Old harbour
The historic fishing harbour cuts into the land near the old village centre, a small but clear shape that ties the town to its past.
Gooi woods and heath
To the south and east, open heathland and woods mark the edge of the town, a lighter, softer texture next to the housing.
