The rail line
The LIRR track crosses the hamlet in a steady line. The station area around it holds the older streets, and the rest of the neighbourhood took shape from there.

Mapa
Huntington Station Map Poster & Print
Huntington Station is a hamlet in the Town of Huntington on Long Island's north shore, a short distance inland from Huntington Harbor. From above, it is a dense patchwork of residential streets. Some follow an older, straighter grid near the station, while others curve in loops and cul-de-sacs typical of postwar suburban building.
The Long Island Rail Road cuts across the hamlet, and its station, which gives the place its name, sits near the older commercial streets. New York Avenue, also known as Route 110, runs north to south through the middle. The hamlet also includes the birthplace of Walt Whitman, now preserved as a historic site near the southern edge of the area.
A Huntington Station map poster shows the structure of a commuter suburb: rail, main road and hundreds of residential streets arranged around them. It is a map that people who grew up here will recognise street by street.

Route 110 spine
New York Avenue runs north to south through Huntington Station. It links the hamlet with Huntington village and the harbor, and forms the strongest vertical line on the map.
Suburban loops
Beyond the older blocks, the streets curl into loops, crescents and dead ends. They create a dense, almost woven texture across the poster.

Zašto Huntington Station
Mapa koja nešto znači
Long Islanders tend to be specific about where they are from, and Huntington Station is not the same as Huntington village. A map of the hamlet gets that detail right.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, perhaps with a family address or a move-in year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
