Independence Map Poster & Print
Independence is a city in Kenton County, northern Kentucky, part of the metropolitan area around Cincinnati. It shares the role of county seat with Covington, which is unusual in Kentucky. Over recent decades it has grown from a small crossroads community into a sizable suburban city.
The map shows that growth clearly. A few older roads converge near the historic centre. Around them, subdivision streets spread out in the looping, cul-de-sac patterns typical of American suburbs from the late twentieth century onward. The land is hilly, and many streets curve to follow the terrain. Wooded creek valleys cut between neighbourhoods.
An Independence map poster turns that suburban pattern into a surprisingly graphic image. The looping streets form rings and teardrop shapes. Main roads cut through them in longer lines, and green valleys leave quiet gaps. It is a very readable portrait of a modern Kentucky city.

Historic crossroads
Older roads meet near the original centre of Independence, where the county courthouse functions sit. It is a small but clear focal point among the newer streets.
Creek valleys
Wooded valleys and creeks run between neighbourhoods on the hilly ground. They show as soft, empty channels that break up the suburban street pattern.
