Ravi river
The broad channel of the Ravi runs nearby. It is the dominant natural feature of the area and the reason for the dam projects that shaped the township.

Mapa
Jugiāl Map Poster & Print
Jugiāl lies in the Pathankot district of Punjab, in the far north of the state, where the flat plains start to rise toward the Shivalik hills. The Ravi river runs close by, and the area is closely connected with the large dam and hydroelectric projects built on it. From above, the township shows a mix of planned residential streets and the more informal growth around them.
The terrain makes this map more dramatic than most in Punjab. Instead of an endless grid of fields, there are ridges, river terraces and the broad channel of the Ravi, with water bodies and canals linked to the dam works. Roads follow the contours and connect Jugiāl with Pathankot and the border areas with Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
A Jugiāl map poster suits families who lived in the project colonies, engineers and workers connected with the dams, and people who grew up in this edge of Punjab between plains and hills. The print pairs orderly township streets with the natural curves of the river and slopes, which gives it an unusually varied composition.

Township layout
Parts of the settlement follow a planned pattern of residential streets and blocks. On the map they contrast with the organic growth around them.
Foothill terrain
Ridges and river terraces break up the land. Roads curve to follow them, which gives the poster movement that is rare in flat Punjab.

Zašto Jugiāl
Mapa koja nešto znači
Project townships often hold strong shared memories: colony life, schools and neighbours who later scattered across India and abroad. A Jugiāl map poster brings those streets and the river landscape back into view.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a colony name or the years you lived there. Choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
