Kansāpur lies in northern Haryana, on the broad plain between the Yamuna River and the first ridges of the Shivalik foothills. From above, the setting is mostly level. Small clusters of built-up lanes are surrounded by field boundaries, and connecting roads run across the plain toward larger nearby towns. The Yamunanagar and Jagadhri area, one of the main urban centres of this part of the state, is close by.
