Kurichi Lake
The large tank gives the map a strong, irregular open shape. Its shoreline is drawn in a single clean outline, and the streets gather tightly around it.

Mapa
Kurichchi Map Poster & Print
Kurichchi, often spelled Kurichi, lies on the southern side of Coimbatore in western Tamil Nadu. On the map, one feature stands out above everything else. Kurichi Lake is a large irrigation tank, one of the chain of old reservoirs that make up much of Coimbatore's geography. The streets fold around the water's edge, and main roads head south towards Pollachi.
The area mixes residential lanes with workshops and small industrial units, which reflects Coimbatore's reputation as a manufacturing centre for pumps, textiles and engineering goods. The blocks are irregular and closely packed. Wider roads carry traffic between the city centre and the southern districts. On clear days the Western Ghats are visible to the west, although they lie well beyond the frame.
A Kurichchi map poster frames a neighbourhood rather than a whole city. The lake is a calm open shape, a mesh of streets surrounds it, and the main roads lead off in straight lines. It is an intimate scale that works well for a place people know from daily life.

Southern arterial roads
Main routes out of Coimbatore pass through the area towards the south. On the poster they appear as confident straight lines through the finer local street pattern.
Mixed street fabric
Housing lanes and small industrial plots sit side by side. The result is a dense, varied texture of short streets that rewards a close look at larger print sizes.
