Water at the edges
Ponds and small watercourses press in on the town from several sides and bend the outer streets into curves, giving the plan a softer outline than a strict grid.

Mapa
Lebedyn Map Poster
Lebedyn sits in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine, on the gentle plain that runs toward the Russian border. From above, the town is a cluster of streets around a modest centre. Private houses with long garden plots spread out from it, and farmland takes over within a few minutes in any direction.
The name comes from the Ukrainian word for swan, and local tradition links it to the birds that once gathered on the nearby lakes. On a map that watery setting still shows. Small rivers, ponds and wet meadows break the edges of the town into irregular shapes, so the street pattern bends around the water.
A Lebedyn map poster keeps all of this in plain black line: the denser centre, the looser outskirts and the pale shapes of water around them. It is a quiet composition, better suited to reflection than to spectacle, and it reads clearly at any of the larger print sizes.

Garden-plot suburbs
Beyond the centre, long narrow house plots line the residential lanes, so on the poster they read as fine parallel strokes combed outward from the core.
Open steppe margins
Field roads leave the town in straight lines across the flat farmland, and the empty space they cross makes the settlement stand out sharply in the middle of the sheet.
