Mapa
Leusden Map Poster & Print
Leusden lies in the province of Utrecht, directly south of Amersfoort. From above, the town is largely made up of planned residential districts with curving streets, cycle paths and green strips between them, built in several phases around an older village core. Water features and small ponds appear throughout the neighbourhoods.
To the west and south, the town gives way to wide open space: the heathland of the Leusderheide, woodland, and the start of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a low wooded ridge. That contrast between neat suburban streets and open nature is a defining part of Leusden's character.
A Leusden map poster shows this balance clearly. The residential web of crescents and paths sits beside broad heath and forest, with Amersfoort's streets continuing along one edge. In black and white, the town reads as orderly and calm, framed by an unusual amount of green.

Planned neighbourhoods
Curving residential streets, cul-de-sacs and green corridors form a gentle, organic pattern typical of Dutch suburban planning.
Woodland edge
Forest along the town's western side marks the beginning of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a soft boundary where streets end and trails begin.
