Mapa
Lütgendortmund Map Poster & Print
Lütgendortmund forms the western edge of Dortmund, bordering Bochum in the heart of the Ruhr. On the map, it appears as a patchwork of former village centres, workers' housing, railway lines and green spaces, reflecting a history shaped by coal mining and industry rather than a single planned core.
The district's older streets gather around a small historic centre, while surrounding neighbourhoods show the orderly rows typical of mining settlements. Rail lines and major roads cut through the area, and patches of woodland, parks and allotments fill the spaces left as industry changed.
Today Lütgendortmund is a largely residential part of the city, closely linked to its neighbours. A Lütgendortmund map poster captures that layered Ruhr landscape: village roots, industrial-era housing, transport lines and the green corridors that now define much of the district.

Mining-era housing
Rows of workers' housing form tidy, repeating street patterns, a reminder of the coal mining that shaped this part of the Ruhr.
Green corridors
Woods, parks and allotment gardens fill gaps between neighbourhoods and rail lines, giving the district a surprising amount of open space on the map.
