Cospudener See
This large lake on the western side fills a former lignite pit. Its long, smooth outline makes a strong shape on the poster, with the city of Leipzig just beyond its northern tip.

Mapa
Markkleeberg Map Poster & Print
Markkleeberg is directly south of Leipzig, and the two built-up areas run into each other with no clear break. What makes its map unusual is to the south and west. Two large lakes, the Cospudener See and the Markkleeberger See, fill basins left by open-cast lignite mining. Their long, clean outlines are the most striking feature, far larger than any street block.
The town itself is made of residential quarters, villa streets and older village centres that grew together over time. Parkland along the Pleiße and the agra grounds add wide green areas. Rail and main roads run north toward Leipzig. Along the lakeshores, newer paths and promenades trace the recently shaped edges.
A Markkleeberg map poster tells a story of landscape change. Land that was once mined is now open water, and the town has turned to face it. At Markkleeberger See, the Kanupark whitewater course stands out as a small, sharp shape. In monochrome, the lakes read as bold, calm surfaces beside the finer texture of the streets.

Markkleeberger See
The second lake lies to the southeast. On its shore is the Kanupark, an artificial whitewater course whose compact loop appears as a small, precise detail at the water's edge.
Villa streets and parks
Between the lakes and Leipzig, calm residential streets and the green spaces of the agra park and the Pleiße corridor fill the middle of the map with a finer grain.

Zašto Markkleeberg
Mapa koja nešto znači
For people who remember when the lakes were still mines, and for people who have only known them as lakes, this map records a real change in the landscape. It suits a home near the water or a Leipzig-area household.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint works particularly well with the engineered lakeshores.
