The small river winds through the town from north to south. On the poster its curving course contrasts with the straight lines of the barracks.

Mapa
Munster Map Poster & Print
Munster lies on the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony, and the landscape around it is heath, pine forest and open sandy ground. From above, the town is compact, with its streets gathered along the Örtze river, but its surroundings are dominated by the large military training areas that have shaped Munster since the late nineteenth century.
It is one of the largest garrison towns in Germany, and it is home to the Deutsches Panzermuseum, the German Tank Museum, which draws visitors from far away. The barracks form their own distinct areas on the map, laid out in regular rows beside the civilian town.
A Munster map poster combines these elements: the winding river, the older civilian centre, the ordered barracks and the empty training land beyond. It is well suited to soldiers who served here and their families, and to anyone who knows the quiet heathland of northern Germany.

Barracks areas
Military sites are laid out in regular rows of buildings and roads. They form distinct, orderly blocks next to the more irregular civilian streets.
Heath and training land
Large training grounds and forest cover the land around town, almost free of roads. In black and white they surround Munster with calm, open space.
