Residential blocks
Short, regular streets form most of the hamlet, and the drawing turns them into an even texture broken only by schools, parks and larger lots.

Mapa
North Amityville Map Poster & Print
North Amityville is a hamlet in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, lying just inland from the village of Amityville on Long Island's South Shore. From above, it is a clear suburban pattern: short residential streets laid out in blocks, cul-de-sacs tucked between them, and major roads marking the edges. Commercial strips line the busier routes, while quieter lanes fill the interior.
The community has a long history as one of Long Island's established African American neighbourhoods, with churches and civic organisations that go back generations. Its location gives easy access to the parkways and the rail line toward New York City, which shaped how the area filled in during the twentieth century, block by block.
A North Amityville map poster shows the fine-grained rhythm of a South Shore suburb: tidy rectangles of streets interrupted by curving parkways, school grounds and small parks. The composition is calm and orderly, a good fit for anyone who grew up here or bought a first home on one of these streets.

Parkway curves
Long Island's parkways sweep through the area in broad curves, contrasting with the right angles of the neighbourhood grid around them.
Toward the South Shore
South of the hamlet, streets lead toward Amityville village and the bays beyond, and the map hints at the shoreline just past its edge.
