Norwalk Map Poster & Print
Norwalk sits on the Connecticut shore of Long Island Sound, where the Norwalk River widens into a tidal estuary before reaching open water. On the map the river runs north to south through the city, dividing east and west. The shoreline breaks into coves, points and marshy inlets, and a chain of small islands lies just offshore.
South Norwalk, known as SoNo, gathers around the upper harbour with a denser grid of older blocks. The Maritime Aquarium and the railway swing bridge over the river both sit here. The Metro-North line and Interstate 95 run parallel across the city near the coast, and the Merritt Parkway traces a curving path through the wooded northern neighbourhoods.
Norwalk's harbour was long an oystering centre, and shellfish beds are still worked in the waters around the Norwalk Islands. A Norwalk map poster sets these layers against each other: the ragged coastline and scattered islands, the river cutting inland, and the grid of neighbourhoods fanning out toward the hills of Fairfield County.

Norwalk Islands
A chain of small islands lies just offshore in Long Island Sound. On the map they form a scattered pattern of shapes beyond the mainland coast.
Transport corridors
Interstate 95 and the Metro-North rail line cross the city side by side near the shore, while the Merritt Parkway curves through the northern woods.

Zašto Norwalk
Mapa koja nešto znači
Norwalk suits anyone who has sailed its harbour, commuted from its stations or grown up near the Sound. The coastline and islands give it a distinctive silhouette that works as well in a New York apartment as in a Connecticut shore house.
Personalise the title and subtitle, adding a neighbourhood like SoNo or Rowayton or a special date, and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the nautical setting well.
