Ōami Map Poster
Ōami lies in Chiba Prefecture, east of Chiba city, and forms the main town of Ōamishirasato, a municipality whose name joins Ōami with the neighbouring Shirasato area. On a map the centre gathers around the railway station, with residential streets spreading onto gentle terraces and farmland between the inland hills and the Pacific plain.
The station is a junction where the Tōgane Line branches from the Sotobō Line, so rail lines run through town in more than one direction. To the east the land flattens toward the long Kujūkuri coast, and the area beyond the town is largely rural, with rice fields, small woods and scattered settlements.
An Ōami map poster reflects that transitional setting. Near the station the streets are close and busy, farther out they loosen and curve, and roads head toward the coast in long lines. It is a map of a commuter town with countryside still at its edges, drawn with the same care as any major city.
