Two-river confluence
The Tennessee River flows into the Ohio right beside downtown, creating a wide expanse of water that gives the city its sense of place and its long history as a river port.

Paducah Map Poster & Print
Paducah sits where the Tennessee River meets the Ohio, and the whole city is oriented to that meeting. Downtown is a tidy grid of blocks running back from the waterfront. A floodwall separates the streets from the river, and neighbourhoods spread out west and south in a looser suburban pattern. From above, the two rivers frame the city in wide, calm curves.
The floodwall is known for its long series of painted murals depicting the city's past. Paducah has also built a reputation around craft. It is home to the National Quilt Museum, and in 2013 UNESCO named it a Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art. The Lowertown neighbourhood, next to downtown, became known for an artist relocation programme.
A Paducah map poster brings out how much the rivers dominate. The Ohio is broad and sweeping, the Tennessee joins it from the south, and bridges reach across to Illinois. Rail lines and the older street grid meet the water at clear angles. It is a legible, well-ordered river town that reads cleanly in black and white.

Downtown grid
Straight blocks run back from the riverfront in a regular pattern. The historic commercial district sits compactly between the floodwall and the later residential streets.
Lowertown
Just north of downtown, this older neighbourhood of narrow blocks and historic houses became the centre of Paducah's artist community and adds a finer texture to the grid.

Zašto Paducah
Mapa koja nešto znači
Paducah suits anyone who has quilted, painted or simply grown up by the big rivers of western Kentucky. The confluence makes a strong composition, and the city's craft identity makes a map of it feel like a natural thing to hang on a wall.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a year or a street, and a coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The river shapes work especially well in the lighter styles.
