Mapa
Renton Map Poster & Print
Renton lies at the southern tip of Lake Washington, southeast of Seattle. From above, the lake's shoreline curves across the top of the map. The Cedar River runs through the city and into the lake past a narrow airfield. Freeways frame the city on large curves: Interstate 405 bends through it, and State Route 167 heads south along the valley floor.
Renton is closely tied to aviation. Boeing's Renton factory, on the lakeshore, has built generations of 737 airliners, and new aircraft take off from the adjacent Renton Municipal Airport. The city is also the resting place of Jimi Hendrix, whose memorial is at Greenwood Memorial Park. Along the lake, Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park stretches along the eastern shore.
A Renton map poster brings together water, industry and suburb in one frame. The long runway and the factory site create strong straight lines at the edge of the lake. The river adds a gentle curve, and residential streets spread up the surrounding hills in loose grids and cul-de-sacs. It is a Pacific Northwest map with a clear sense of place.

Cedar River
The river flows through downtown on its way to the lake, adding a soft curve to the map, with a trail following its banks.
Freeway curves
I-405 and SR 167 cut broad sweeping arcs through the city, very different from the fine grids of the neighbourhoods around them.
