Moated castle
Schloss Rhede sits inside its moat close to the town centre. The ring of water around the building makes one of the most distinctive small shapes on the map.

Mapa
Rhede Map Poster & Print
Rhede is in the Borken district of North Rhine-Westphalia, in the flat western Münsterland near the Dutch border. The town has a compact centre, and residential neighbourhoods spread around it on level ground. Beyond them is typical Münsterland countryside: fields, small woods and farmsteads connected by straight lanes. The Bocholter Aa, a small river, crosses the area and adds a soft winding line to the map.
Rhede's best-known landmark is its moated castle, Schloss Rhede. On a detailed map, its water-filled moat and the green space around it form a clear shape close to the centre. The neighbouring city of Bocholt is just to the west, and a wide map shows how the two towns face each other across open farmland.
A Rhede map poster makes the most of a flat landscape. Streets, the river and the moat stand out clearly because there is no hilly terrain to distract from them. It is a modest, well-proportioned town plan, and it suits anyone who grew up in western Münsterland.

Bocholter Aa
The small river winds through the flat countryside. On a map of otherwise straight Münsterland roads and field boundaries, it is the one soft, curving line.
Münsterland farmland
Fields, woodlots and farmsteads surround the town, connected by straight lanes. This gives the outer part of the poster a calm, evenly textured background.
