Mapa
Rubizhne Map Poster & Print
Rubizhne lies in the Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, just north of Sievierodonetsk and close to the Siverskyi Donets River. The town grew in the twentieth century around its chemical plants, and its map reflects that history: industrial zones with long buildings and rail sidings sit beside residential districts of apartment blocks and private houses, while pine forests stretch away toward the river valley.
The residential areas follow a regular Soviet-era plan, with wide main streets, groups of apartment blocks around courtyards and neighbourhoods of smaller houses on the edges. Rubizhne sits at the northern end of a close cluster of towns with Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, linked by roads that run through the forest and across the river valley.
Rubizhne was heavily damaged during the fighting in 2022, and many of its buildings and streets were affected. A Rubizhne map poster records the layout of the town as its residents knew it, the streets, courtyards and forest edges that shaped everyday life. For people who have left, it can be a way to keep home present and precise.

Forest edge
Pine forests extend from the town toward the Siverskyi Donets, leaving wide open areas on the map where only a few roads and tracks cross.
Residential blocks
Apartment blocks arranged around courtyards form regular groups, while streets of private houses create a finer, denser pattern on the edges of the town.
