Mapa
Schwanewede Map Poster & Print
Schwanewede is a municipality in the Osterholz district of Lower Saxony, immediately north of the city of Bremen. It is not one compact town but a group of villages and residential areas spread across a wide rural area, reaching west towards the Weser. On the map, several separate clusters of streets are linked by country roads running between fields and woodland.
The landscape is typical of the northern German lowland. It is mostly flat, with farmland, patches of forest and damp moorland between the settlements. A Schwanewede map poster reflects that openness: fine pockets of linework surrounded by larger empty spaces, with the main roads towards Bremen and the river forming the longest lines.
Its closeness to Bremen shapes daily life, and many residents commute into the city. Yet the municipality keeps a distinctly rural character, with village centres, farmsteads and quiet lanes that give the map a gentler, more scattered rhythm than the dense city streets just to the south.

Village clusters
Separate settlements appear as distinct knots of streets. Together they create a composition of several small centres rather than one main town.
Woods and moorland
Forest and low moorland fill much of the space between the villages. They leave open areas on the poster that emphasise the rural setting.
