Mississippi riverfront
The river forms the whole eastern boundary. Barge channels, islands and the flat floodplain are drawn in clean lines that give the poster a strong vertical anchor.

Mapa
South Saint Paul Map Poster & Print
South Saint Paul lies on the west bank of the Mississippi River, just downstream from Saint Paul in Dakota County. On the map its eastern edge is the river itself. Along the water runs a strip of low flats and industrial land, then bluffs rise to residential streets laid out in a neat grid. Highways and rail lines follow the river corridor north and south.
For most of the twentieth century the city was defined by the Saint Paul Union Stockyards, among the largest livestock markets in the country, and the meatpacking plants beside them. The stockyards closed in 2008 and the riverside land has since been redeveloped. Even so, the long, flat footprint along the river still stands out clearly from above. Fleming Field, a small municipal airport, lies within the city.
A South Saint Paul map poster brings together the three layers that shape the city: the broad curve of the Mississippi, the steep line of the bluffs and the orderly neighbourhoods above them. It makes a grounded, unfussy print for anyone with ties to the Twin Cities' working river towns and their industrial past.

Former stockyard lands
The low ground once filled with livestock pens and packing plants now holds business parks and trails. Its large blocks and rail spurs still stand apart from the residential grid.
Bluff-top neighbourhoods
Above the river, streets settle into a regular grid of modest blocks. The grid breaks where ravines and slopes force roads to curve down toward the water.
