Central grid
The core of the city follows a fairly regular pattern of straight streets and rectangular blocks, which gives the print an orderly and easily read centre.

Surin Map Poster & Print
Surin is the capital of Surin province in north-eastern Thailand, close to the Cambodian border. The surrounding land is the broad, level Khorat Plateau, and from above the city appears as a compact grid of streets set in a wide sea of rice fields, reservoirs and scattered village clusters.
The city is best known for its elephants. Surin has a long tradition of elephant keeping among the local Kuy people, and its annual elephant festival each November draws visitors from across the country. The province also contains several ancient Khmer temple sites, a reminder of the region's cultural ties across the nearby border.
A Surin map poster shows a well-ordered provincial centre: the railway line on the north-eastern route, a regular street grid around the central district and ponds and green spaces set between the blocks. Its flat setting keeps the composition clean and balanced, and the fields beyond give the city a clear, readable outline on the page.

The railway line
Surin sits on the north-eastern railway, and the tracks cut through the city as a long, straight line. It is one of the strongest single features on the map.
Ponds and reservoirs
Water bodies of different sizes dot the city and its edges. They show as clean open shapes against the grid and are typical of the Isan landscape.
