Triunfo Map Poster & Print
Triunfo sits at around a thousand metres above sea level in the Sertão of Pernambuco, which makes it one of the highest towns in north-eastern Brazil. That altitude shapes everything on the map. Instead of a flat grid, the streets bend to follow the slopes, climbing and turning around the hills, and the town gathers around a small lake that forms a calm, open shape at its centre.
The cooler climate sets Triunfo apart from the surrounding semi-arid lowlands, and it has long drawn visitors from across the state. Nearby rises Pico do Papagaio, regarded as the highest point in Pernambuco. The historic centre keeps colourful buildings and an early twentieth-century theatre, the Cine Theatro Guarany, while roads wind down from the town towards the plains below.
On paper, this is a place of contours and curves rather than straight lines. A Triunfo map poster shows streets tightening around the lake and loosening as they climb the slopes, a pattern that tells you at once you are in the mountains. It is a lovely keepsake for people who grew up here, for couples who visited in the cool season and for admirers of Brazil's highland towns.

Streets on the slopes
Roads follow the terrain rather than a grid, twisting across the hillsides and giving the map an organic pattern that resembles contour lines.
Winding approach roads
Access roads descend in loops from the town towards the lower sertão, their curves showing clearly how high Triunfo sits above the surrounding land.
