Delta channels
Creeks and channels run across the flat land in branching patterns. They divide the map into irregular pieces and link the island to the wider estuary.

Mapa
Uttar Char Fasson Map Poster & Print
Uttar Char Fasson is in the far south of Bangladesh, on the island of Bhola in the Meghna estuary, where the great rivers of the Bengal delta meet the Bay of Bengal. From above, the land is completely flat, cut by channels and creeks, and crossed by embankments and roads that often run along the higher ground. The town is a denser node within a landscape of villages and fields.
The word char refers to land formed by river sediment, and the whole area is a reminder that this coast is constantly being built and reshaped by water. Settlements follow raised lines like roads and embankments, and ponds are dug beside homes. Wide open spaces between them are rice fields and grazing land that flood in the wet season.
An Uttar Char Fasson map poster shows a landscape in which water and land share the page almost equally. The street network is loose and linear, the channels branch across the map, and the shoreline is never far away. In black and white, the pattern of creeks and embankments becomes quietly graphic.

Embankment roads
Main roads often run along raised embankments. On the map they appear as long, slightly curving lines with settlements strung along them.
Village ponds
Small ponds beside homesteads dot the landscape. They form a scattered pattern of tiny shapes, especially visible in the areas between roads.
