Villukuri lies in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, near the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. The land here is greener and more crowded than much of the state, set between the Western Ghats and the sea. Streets run informally, following old paths between houses, temples, churches and gardens.
