Mapa
Wilmette Map Poster & Print
Wilmette lies on the North Shore just above Chicago, and its map is organised by the lake. Sheridan Road traces the shoreline, Gillson Park spreads along the water with its beach and harbor, and inland the streets settle into a regular grid of tree-lined residential blocks that continue west toward the expressway and the golf courses.
The North Shore Channel, dug to carry lake water into the Chicago River system, begins at Wilmette Harbor, so a straight artificial waterway runs south from the town's lakefront. Next to it stands the Bahá'í House of Worship, the domed temple completed in 1953 that is the only Bahá'í house of worship in North America, set in formal gardens.
A Wilmette map poster captures that meeting of a soft shoreline with a disciplined grid. The lake takes up a broad calm field on one side, the channel cuts a clean line, and the Metra and CTA rail corridors run diagonally through the blocks, giving the composition a clear structure that reads well at any size.

North Shore Channel
A straight canal starts at Wilmette Harbor and heads south toward Chicago, an engineered waterway whose ruler-straight course stands out against the curving shore.
Bahá'í temple grounds
The House of Worship sits on a plot of symmetrical gardens beside Sheridan Road and the channel mouth, a small formal geometry within the surrounding residential streets.

Zašto Wilmette
Mapa koja nešto znači
Wilmette is where many families put down roots, and a map of its blocks and lakefront makes a thoughtful gift for a new homeowner, a graduate or someone who has moved away from the North Shore.
Add a street name, a wedding date or your coordinates to the title lines, then pick one of five styles. Blueprint suits the channel and harbor engineering, while Noir makes the lake a deep, quiet field of black.
