Contour-led roads
Main routes bend with the hills instead of running straight, so the road network reads like a set of loose, flowing lines drawn across the sheet.

Mapa
Yanjia Map Poster & Print
Yanjia is a town in Chongqing Municipality, set in the folded, hilly country northeast of the city's urban core. Like much of this part of China, it is shaped by terrain first and planning second. Roads follow the contours of ridges and valleys, and blocks of buildings settle wherever the ground is flat enough to hold them.
That makes for an unusual street map. Instead of a regular grid, the lines curve, fork and double back, with dense clusters separated by gaps where slopes, fields or water take over. The Yangtze runs through this stretch of Chongqing, and settlements across the region tend to orient themselves toward the river and the transport routes that follow it.
A Yanjia map poster records a place few outsiders will know, and that is often exactly why it matters to the people who order one. It suits someone who grew up here, worked here or has family in the town, and who wants its particular pattern of streets on the wall rather than a generic skyline.

Clustered blocks
Built-up areas gather in compact patches on level ground, leaving open spaces between them that give the composition a scattered, rhythmic feel.
Chongqing terrain
The ridges and valleys typical of Chongqing frame the town, and the edges of the map show how quickly the streets thin out into countryside.

Zašto Yanjia
Mapa koja nešto znači
For people with roots in a smaller town, a map is often the only kind of artwork that shows home as it actually is. Yanjia's irregular street pattern, shaped by hills rather than a planner's ruler, makes an image that feels specific and personal.
You can set the title in any wording you like, add a date or a short subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let you match the print to the room it will hang in.
