Valley-floor layout
The built area stretches along the valley, following the flat ground. This gives the town an elongated shape that sits clearly on the poster.

Mapa
Yongping Map Poster & Print
Yongping lies in the southeastern part of Gansu Province, a region of steep hills, terraced slopes and narrow river valleys. Settlements here usually follow the flat ground along the valley floor. Seen from above, the town is long and narrow, with the hills on either side leaving only limited room to spread.
The streets follow the valley's main road, with shorter lanes branching off towards the slopes. Around the town, the land breaks into terraces and ridgelines. On a map this shows up as a finely broken surface and makes the small street network look even more clearly defined.
A Yongping map poster suits someone with a personal link to this corner of Gansu, whether through family or a period spent living there. The drawing is simple: a town, a valley and the roads through it. That simplicity is what gives the finished print its calm and balanced look.

Main through road
A principal road runs the length of the settlement and ties it to neighbouring towns. It works as the visual spine of the map.
Surrounding hills
Beyond the streets the terrain rises into ridges and slopes. They leave open space around the town and emphasise how tightly it is held in its valley.
