Mapa
York Map Poster & Print
York is laid out on a regular grid dating to the colonial era, with Market Street and George Street meeting at Continental Square in the centre. From above, the blocks are neat and even. Codorus Creek winds through the grid, and a ring of later neighbourhoods and industrial areas spreads toward the rolling Pennsylvania farmland.
In 1777 and 1778, the Continental Congress met in York while Philadelphia was occupied, and the Articles of Confederation were adopted here. The city is nicknamed the White Rose City, a reference to the English House of York. It also has a long manufacturing history, and the York Peppermint Pattie was first made here.
A York map poster shows a city where the plan still reflects its early design: a clear cross of main streets, a central square, and a creek that softens the grid. In monochrome, the order of the blocks and the curve of the water sit together nicely. It suits anyone with ties to the city or to its place in early American history.

Codorus Creek
The creek bends through the city, cutting across the regular blocks. It adds a soft, winding line to an otherwise orderly plan.
Colonial street grid
Straight streets and even blocks fill the historic core. They give the poster a calm, balanced rhythm that is easy to read.
