Mapa
Yorkville Map Poster & Print
Yorkville is the county seat of Kendall County, Illinois, southwest of Chicago. The Fox River runs through the town from east to west, and the original centre grew up by the crossing. From above, the old downtown is a small grid on both banks. Route 47, the main north–south road, crosses the river there.
In recent decades Yorkville has been one of the fastest-growing towns in the area. On the map, this shows as large subdivisions on former farmland, with curving streets, cul-de-sacs and retention ponds, surrounding the older core. The river, with its wooded banks and dam near downtown, still holds everything together and is the main natural feature.
A Yorkville map poster tells two stories at once: the small river town at the centre, and the modern suburban growth around it. The Fox River adds a strong curve through the middle, so the poster reads well even at a small size.

Historic downtown
The small original grid by the river is where the town began. Its short, straight blocks contrast with the looser streets built later.
Prairie subdivisions
Newer neighbourhoods fill the land around town with curving streets and small ponds. They cover large areas that were farmland not long ago.
