Anklav is a town in the Anand district of Gujarat. It is part of the fertile Charotar tract, known for its farming and its strong dairy cooperative tradition. The town lies a short distance from the Mahi River, one of the major rivers of central Gujarat, which shapes the wider landscape and appears on any generously framed map.
The town has an older, closely built centre of narrow lanes, with newer housing extending along the roads to neighbouring towns. Beyond these, the map fills with the fine divisions of farm roads and village tracks. This is the typical pattern of a densely settled farming region in central Gujarat, where villages sit close together.
