Bothfeld is a district in the north-east of Hannover, and its map still shows the village it once was. The old core, with its church and a few curving streets, sits at the centre. Around it, later residential areas have filled in, with long quiet streets of houses and some larger housing blocks.
The district is mainly residential and has a calmer feel than central Hannover. On the map, green spaces, allotment gardens and open land appear between the streets, especially toward the edges of the district. Main roads and the Stadtbahn tram line connect Bothfeld with the city centre to the south-west.
