Colle di Val d'Elsa Map Poster & Print
Colle di Val d'Elsa is a town of two levels. Colle Alta, the medieval upper town, runs along a narrow ridge in a long, thin line of streets, walls and gates. Below it, Colle Bassa spreads across the valley floor near the Elsa river, with more open streets, squares and the later growth of the town.
The town is known for crystal. For decades it has produced a large share of Italy's crystal glassware, and a museum is dedicated to the craft. It is also the birthplace of Arnolfo di Cambio, the medieval architect and sculptor associated with Florence Cathedral and the Palazzo Vecchio.
A Colle di Val d'Elsa map poster makes the split between the two towns clear. The narrow upper town traces the ridge, the lower town fans out along the river, and the Tuscan hills fill the space around them. It is a rewarding drawing because the landform does most of the work.

Colle Bassa on the valley floor
The lower town spreads more freely across the flat ground below, with wider streets and more recent neighbourhoods near the Elsa.
Tuscan hill roads
Winding roads climb out of the valley toward Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Their curves contrast with the straighter streets of the town.

แผนที่ที่มีความหมาย
Colle di Val d'Elsa is often part of a slower journey through Tuscany, between Siena and San Gimignano. A map of its twin towns is an understated keepsake of that trip, or of a family connection to its crystal workshops.
Adjust the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark the date of a visit, a wedding or a family home. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir shows off the ridge line well.
