Spring Map Poster
Spring is a large unincorporated community on the northern edge of the Houston area, in Harris County, Texas. From above, the pattern is mostly suburban. Curving residential streets end in loops and cul-de-sacs, and they sit inside a grid of wider arterial roads. Interstate 45 cuts straight through from south to north and is the clearest line on the whole sheet.
The water shapes the map as much as the roads do. Spring Creek winds along the northern side and marks the county line with Montgomery County. Cypress Creek runs to the south. Both leave long green corridors of woodland and floodplain that break up the housing. Near the creek, the small grid of Old Town Spring recalls the railroad settlement the community grew from.

A winding creek along the northern edge that separates Harris and Montgomery counties. On the map it is a thin irregular line with wooded floodplain on both sides.
Old Town Spring
A small historic grid near the creek, where the original railroad-era settlement stood. Its short, straight blocks look different from the curving subdivisions around it.
