Springboro lies in southwestern Ohio, between Dayton and Cincinnati, with Interstate 75 running close by to the west. It was founded in the early nineteenth century by Quaker settlers, and its small historic core still sits near the centre, a compact set of older streets in a much larger modern town.
Around that core, the map shows the typical pattern of late-twentieth-century suburban growth: curving streets, looping drives and cul-de-sacs arranged in separate neighbourhoods, with parks and golf courses between them. Clear Creek and its wooded valley run through the area, adding a natural line to the street pattern.
