Tank Map Poster

Tank sits on flat, open ground between the Indus lowlands and the first ridges of Waziristan. On a map the town is a tight knot of lanes and markets, with main roads leaving it in several directions across farmland and dry scrub. The contrast between the dense centre and the sparse country around it gives the drawing its character, and it stays legible even at small print sizes.

The town is the headquarters of Tank District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has long been a meeting point between the hill country and the plains. Seasonal streams come down from the mountains and cross the surrounding land. They leave faint, braided lines that show up clearly once buildings and roads are reduced to black and white, adding movement to an otherwise level landscape.

A Tank map poster keeps that relationship intact. The settled core sits in the middle, field boundaries and tracks thin out toward the edges, and the pull of the hills shows in the way the roads bend westward. The result is a quiet, graphic image of a place that rarely appears on printed maps at this scale, drawn with the same care as any large city.
