Zé Map Poster
Zé is a commune in Benin's Atlantique department, inland from the coast and north of the Cotonou area. The landscape is gentle and green, with farmland, oil palms and scattered stands of trees. On the map, the town is not a compact block but a network of roads and tracks linking villages and hamlets spread across the countryside.
Settlement tends to follow the roads, so the map shows lines of buildings along main routes and smaller clusters where tracks meet. Between them the land is open or lightly wooded. This pattern is common across southern Benin's rural communes, where daily life is spread out rather than concentrated in one centre.
