Arraiján Map Poster & Print
Arraiján lies just west of the Panama Canal, across the water from Panama City in the province of Panamá Oeste. On the map it is a large, loose spread of neighbourhoods set in hilly, green ground, with streets curving around ridges and ending in cul-de-sacs.
The Inter-American Highway runs through the district as its main artery, heading east to the Bridge of the Americas over the canal's Pacific entrance. Further north, the Centennial Bridge also crosses the canal. The pattern is one of main roads with many small neighbourhoods branching off them.
Arraiján has grown quickly as a commuter area for people who work in the capital, and the canal forms its eastern edge. Former canal zone land and forest still break up the built area. An Arraiján map poster shows the city side of the canal as seen from the west.
