Āsind is a town in Bhilwara district in Rajasthan, in the semi-arid country of the Mewar region. From above, the older part of town is a tight cluster of irregular lanes, as in many Rajasthani towns. Newer streets and buildings spread along the main roads, with dry farmland and open ground beyond.
The town is widely known for the Sawai Bhoj temple, an important pilgrimage site associated with Devnarayan, a folk deity worshipped particularly by the Gurjar community. The temple draws visitors from across Rajasthan, especially during fairs and festivals, and gives the town significance beyond its size.
