Auburn Map Poster & Print
Auburn sits at the northern end of Owasco Lake in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. On the map, the lake enters from the south as a narrow blue-free shape in black and white, and its outlet stream runs north through the city. Streets gather on both banks, with the densest blocks around the historic downtown along the water.
Auburn has an unusual place in American history. Harriet Tubman lived here for decades after the Civil War and is buried in Fort Hill Cemetery. William H. Seward, Lincoln's Secretary of State, made his home in the city. Auburn's prison, one of the oldest in the country, carried out the first execution by electric chair in 1890.
An Auburn map poster shows how the city grew around water. Main streets radiate from downtown toward the lake and the surrounding farmland, while residential grids fill the rolling ground in between. The curving outlet stream and the tip of Owasco Lake give the composition a natural anchor at its southern edge.

The Owasco Outlet
The outlet stream runs north through downtown, bending between mills and blocks, and gives the centre of the map a clear, flowing line.
Fort Hill Cemetery
The cemetery where Harriet Tubman is buried appears as a green space of winding paths, a softer patch within the grid of surrounding streets.
