Āyikudi Map Poster & Print
Āyikudi is a town in Tenkasi district, in the southwestern corner of Tamil Nadu. It lies on the plains below the Western Ghats, whose forested ridges rise a short distance to the west. The streams coming down from these hills feed a network of irrigation tanks and channels that support the paddy fields around the town.
On a map, the town appears as a cluster of streets with a traditional core, surrounded by farmland. The irrigation tanks show as irregular water bodies, some quite large, connected by channels that divide the countryside into irregular fields. This interplay of water and agriculture is typical of the region.
An Āyikudi map poster captures that setting. The town's streets sit in the centre, water features dot the landscape and roads lead towards the hills and the neighbouring towns. It is a calm, detailed print of a place defined by its relationship with the mountains and the water they provide.
