Historic fort
The old fort near the river is the town's best-known structure, and its outline stands out as a solid form beside the finer grain of surrounding lanes.

Bālāpur Map Poster & Print
Balapur is a town in Akola district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It lies on the Deccan plain, surrounded by open agricultural land, and from above the town shows as a compact built-up area with lanes packed tightly around its older centre. Roads lead out in several directions towards Akola and neighbouring towns.
The town is known for its fort, which dates from the Mughal period and still stands near the river. Rivers run close to the town, and their banks give the map a natural edge on one side. Around it, the fields of the plain are divided into a patchwork of plots, typical of this cotton-growing region.
A Bālāpur map poster captures a town of modest size with a clear shape. The dense lanes of the old centre, the line of the river and the open farmland beyond make a balanced composition. It is a plain, honest map that suits a minimalist print and speaks to anyone who knows the town.

Riverside edge
Rivers pass close to the town, and their winding course marks one side of the built-up area before the land opens into fields.
Dense old lanes
The older part of town is a tight weave of narrow lanes, giving the centre of the map a textured, busy look against the open plain.
