Barreira Map Poster & Print
Barreira is a municipality in the state of Ceará in north-eastern Brazil, inland from Fortaleza. The surrounding landscape is the semi-arid countryside typical of the region, with low relief, scattered vegetation and seasonal watercourses. On the map, the town appears as a compact built-up area with a few main roads leading out across the open land.
The street plan is simple. A central area with a church square and a regular pattern of blocks is surrounded by newer residential streets. Beyond the town, the map is sparse: rural roads, small farms, and the thin lines of streams and reservoirs that are so important in this dry climate.
A Barreira map poster shows the clarity of a small interior town. There are no dense layers or complicated junctions, just a centre, its streets and the countryside around it. The open space in the composition becomes part of the design and gives the print a calm, spacious quality.
